Help 13-Year-Old Elena Find Safety and Hope
Hi, my name is Mercy, and I am 19 years old. I am creating this fundraiser for my long-distance friend, Elena Petra, who is only 13 years old and lives in Romania.
Recently, Elena made the heartbreaking decision to run away from home after experiencing abuse. She reached out to me because I am one of the few people she trusts. Hearing her call me while she was alone late at night, scared and unsure of where to go, was something I will never forget.
As someone in another country, I can’t be there to protect her physically, but I want to do everything I can to help. The funds raised will go toward her immediate needs, including safe temporary accommodation, food, clothing, transportation, personal essentials, and school-related expenses as she works toward a safer and more stable future.
No 13-year-old should have to choose between abuse and sleeping outside. Every child deserves to feel safe, continue their education, and have the chance to build a brighter future.
