Mr Kingsley is a lecturer at the university of Calabar, he is suffering from congestive heart failure occasioned by long term hypertension causing the heart to enlarge slightly with ascitis, leg swellings. He has been a carrier of sickle cell all his life, with various crisis, and hospitalizations.
This year alone he has spent many months in the hospital amidst COVID 19. He has had 15 blood transfusions already and many belly taps to have comfort or relieve of some form on the heart. Current diagnosis shows that three valves are seriously damaged and needing immediate intervention.
Hospital schedule is as follows: 10th December another admission, for the surgery. He needs to undergo this surgery which will cost 4.5million naira.
