Progressive community support forum went for an outreach at the Government Secondary School Idu, Abuja to sensitize the student on the importance of WASH (Water, Sanitation and Hygiene) and how it is related to their personal health and the environment at large.
WASH is critical to human life.
Drinking of clean water, good latrine construction, hygiene promotion, and the full slate of the activities are also integral to health, shelter, and other sectors of humanitarian action.
PCSF facilitators explained that better solid waste management and site drainage activities reduces standing water and garbage where disease-carrying mosquitos or vermin can breed, hence, we should practice good sanitation process
Also the facilitators were able to teach the students on Liquid soap making which is beneficial to them.
